             with Integrity and Fiscal Responsibility
     My role as a City Council member is very clear: keep the city safe and financially strong; respond to the service requirements of our citizens; and ensure that needed infrastructure is put in place for today's residents and future generations.
     I carefully weigh each proposal that comes before the City Council, and based upon its merit decide which will provide the greatest long-term benefit for Oceanside and ALL its residents.
     I have always invited and encouraged public comment since constructive comments can often bring issues to light that may have been overlooked and further advance the decision-making process.
     If my comments have appeared strident to some, it may simply be because I am passionate about our city and work very hard to ensure its future success, prosperity, and maintain our quality of life.
     Operating under current budget constraints, a special election costing Oceanside residents $500,000 is counterproductive. This money would be better spent supporting essential services such as public safety, libraries, parks and recreation, to name a few.
             I will continue to work diligently to keep Oceanside a great place
                                            to live, work and play.
